Applied Corrosion Technology Inc. (ACTi) is a Texas corporation engaged in the business of providing corrosion technology services. Originally established in 1995 the Corporation was acquired by ELK Engineering Associates, Inc. in 1998. ACTi’s nature and type of services was easily integrated into the ELK system and became the Construction Support Services (CSS) group.
The CSS group provided a means for ELK Engineering to more effectively assure the proper installation and implementation of ELK designed cathodic protection systems. The immediate success and enthusiastic acceptance of this service by ELK clients encouraged ELK to provide this service to our client-contractor partners for CP and grounding system designs by others.
Based upon industry trends, internal forecasts, and specific demand for corrosion and other related engineering services, ELK will direct more resources to that end. As a result, the CSS group of ELK is now re-entering the corrosion technology industry as Applied Corrosion Technology Incorporated (ACTi), an independent services provider.
